Hampshire Restricted 2011

The Hampshire Restricted Tournament took place at the Westgate Centre last weekend. The top seeds did not have it all their own way! Congratulations to the new champions:

Men's Singles: Ben Muir

Ladies' Singles: Josie Latimer

Men's Doubles: Chris Evans & Rowan Taylor

Ladies' Doubles: Sarah Burgess and Kelly Holdway

Mixed Doubles: Charmaine Webb & Rowan  Taylor

Hampshire 65s complete the double

Congratulations to Hampshire's Over 65 team who, having won their Inter-County Veterans' Regional League, went to the National Finals at Stoke-on-Trent and beat Wiltshire in the semi-final by 8-1. This took them into the final against a very strong team from Yorkshire. Hampshire held on to take the title by 5-4, thereby completing the double of ICC and ICL titles in the same season for the first.

Regional Officer

A new Regional Officer has been appointed to succeed Sophie Jackson who has now moved to New Zealand. He is Blake Simmons and we look forward to working with him.

Hampshire triumph in the Veterans' ICC

Last weekend Hampshire fielded teams in six age groups in the ICC for Veterans. Three of these teams became National Champions, others came 2nd and 3rd in their Divisions and the last team was placed mid-table in the top Division. Wow! Didn't they all do Hampshire proud! Hampshire Senior Gold Tournament
