METHOD OF OPERATION
The trustees meet as often as is necessary to process applications for grants from individuals or organisations, and conduct other business of the Trust. Applications must be made on forms obtainable from the Secretary/Treasurer.
REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2015
To provide grants to individuals whose families are having difficulty in financing badminton to the levels of which the individuals are capable.
To provide grants for the organisation and sponsorship of courses for Leaders & Coaches recommended by junior groups and clubs
The Trust awarded grants totalling £400.00 during the year, compared with £750.00 for the previous year.
Annual income to the Trust derives from donations and interest from the bank deposit, which is currently running at a minimal amount. As expenditure normally exceeds income, financial support is also provided by HBA on an as required basis.
No applications were received in respect of Leaders or Coaches courses for young people.
Applications for assistance were lower than anticipated given the prevailing economic conditions; which suggests knowledge of the Trust Fund may be limited around the county. To address this an awareness campaign will be undertaken at the beginning of the new season and supported by regular advertising in the Newsletter and at Westgate.

The Trust remains very grateful to its benefactors who make donations and/or carry out fund raising. Information about how to make an application for a grant can be found on the HBA website or via coaches.
